Jharkhand Sachivalaya Steno Exam Pattern 2017

The written test will be multiple choice objective types.

There will be one composite paper carrying three parts:

Part-3	Reasoning & Mental Ability Test	50
	Total	200

The time duration for test will be 03:00 hours (180 minutes)

01 mark will be awarded for every correct answer and 0.333 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Hindi Language & Article

अनुच्छेद आधारित प्रश्न होंगे तथा व्याकरण से सम्बंधित होंगे। व्याकरण विषय में प्रश्न संज्ञा, सर्वनाम, विशेषण, क्रिया, क्रिया-विशेषण, काल, समानार्थक शब्द, विपरीतार्थक शब्द, संधि, समास, वाक्य शुद्धिकरण, अनुप्राश आदि से सम्बंधित होंगे।

General Studies

Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidates general awareness of the environment around him. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India, Jharkhand and its neighboring countries.

(i) Contemporary Topics – Scientific Development, National/International awards, Indian languages, books, scripts, capital, currency, sports-sportsmen, important events

(ii) India – Indian History, culture, geography, economy, freedom movement, and the constitution of India and state, Polity of Country, Panchayati Raj, Community Development, Five-year plans and contribution of Jharkhand in National Movement.

Reasoning & Mental Ability Test: 

Questions will be asked both verbal and non-verbal type. Focus on Comprehensional Reasoning, Venn Diagrams, Number Series, Coding and de-coding, Problem Solving Techniques, Statement & Conclusion type questions,  arithmetic reasoning, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, syllogistic reasoning, Seating Arrangements.

Typing Test

Candidates have to type 300 words in 10 minutes on computer in Hindi with typing speed of 30 wpm. There should not be more than 1.5% error in typing test to qualify.
